PE: Our PE days are Wednesday (inside) and Friday (outside).

Please make sure your child is wearing the correct PE kit on PE days. The school PE kit is: trainers, black jogging bottoms, white t shirt and a black jumper or their school jumper. Please also ensure that your child is not wearing any jewellery and that if they have long hair it is tied up. 

Phonics: Please ensure your child's phonics folder (with their books) comes in to school every day so that they have it available when it needs changing. The book changing day will differ depending on which group they are in and where they are in the teaching cycle. 

Library: We go to the library every Thursday so please can your child's library book come in to school to be changed on Thursdays. 

Reading: We encourage the children to read their phonics book at least 3 times a week. The children are already familiar with the phonics books that have been sent home. This is so that the children can focus on fluency and speed of reading at home. 

Homework: Homework is set every Friday via Google Classroom. Homework is normally due the following Thursday, however this can vary depending on the task.

Spellings: New spellings are set on Google Classroom every Friday and due the following Thursday. There are different spelling groups which are based on your child's phonics group. Please make sure that your child is learning the correct set of words. Spelling tests take place either on a Thursday or a Friday.
