Key information:

PE: Butterfly class have PE on Wednesday. Please ensure that your child is wearing the correct PE kit, which consists of black track-bottoms or leggings, a white t-shirt, black jumper or a school jumper. The children's PE kit must not have any logos or brand names printed on them. On days that the children have PE the children should not be wearing earrings or any jewellery. 

Library: Our class will have a Library session each Friday. It is important that your child has their library book with them on this day as their book will be changed. 

Phonics: Please ensure your child's phonics folder (with their books inside) comes in to school every day, so that they have it available when it needs changing. The book changing day will differ depending on which group they are in and where they are in the teaching cycle. We asses the children every half term and we will keep you informed of your child's progress and how you can support them. 

Reading: We encourage the children to read their phonics book at least 3 times a week. The children are already familiar with the phonics books that have been sent home. This is so that the children can focus on fluency and speed of reading at home.
